Solar cooling workshop in Singapore of IEA, SOLID and partners received good feedback
The Workshop was visited by around 70 participants and provided an overview of the current status and latest developments in technologies for solar cooling in tropical climates as well as a guided tour of the world´s largest solar cooling system. Organisers were Solid, the International Energy Agency (IEA), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the Austrian Embassy in Singapore. Main topics focus was on Absorption chilling and Desiccant technologies.
Eibiswald district heating doubles its solar thermal plant to 2446 m²
In 1997 Eibiswald district heating installed its first solar district heating plant of 1246 m² collector area. As the district heating network of the village in South Western Styria, Austria, doubled its size in recent years, the collector area was enlarged by another 1200 m² by end of 2012.
