Conference on Renewable Energy Services and solar thermal in United Kingdom
This free Conference considers the challenge of implementing renewable energy solutions in Europe. In particular, it will address the important issue of how to expand biomass and solar heating in public and private buildings via the energy services approach. It will report on research carried out over the last three years sponsored by Intelligent Energy Europe (European Commission project EIE-07-264).
Sabine Putz, SOLID Austria, will present large scale solar plants which are financed by ESCo models.
It will focus on the use of energy service companies (ESCos) as a way to increase the uptake of biomass and solar heat projects in larger buildings in the public and private sector. The Conference will provide a detailed understanding of the ESCo approach, and the scope for future growth. Speakers will talk about the potential for success in existing and emerging technologies in Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Greece, Finland, Italy and Great Britain. The research results to be announced will have widespread applicability throughout Europe. The day after the Conference, on Wednesday 6 May, two technical visits will be taking place to Greenwatt Way and The Living Rainforest in Berkshire, with a limited number of places available. Please see further information on the technical visits (PDF- 247KB).
