Award for SOLID in the Category: “Best small/medium Enterprises and Startup in Export”
On the 9th of May 2016, SOLID was invited to the 1st event “Planning.Building.Operating 4.0 Work.Economy.Export” in Vienna. SOLID was awarded the main prize for “Best small/medium Enterprises and Startup in Export”, selected by a group of well known experts. The prize recognizes SOLID´s permanent innovation efforts, the globally unique expert know-how within the company and the highly sophisticated technologies.
Innovative solar thermal project awarded with the 2nd place at the Contracting Award 2016 in Germany
SOLID was part of the “22. International Fair for Heating, Cooling and CHP” (combined heat and power) - the EnEff - in Germany. On April 19th SOLID was awarded with the 2nd place at the Contracting Award 2016 for the project “Contracting with citizen participation”. This award is one of the most important prizes of the energy branch in Germany.
Largest LiBr Absorption Machine in the company’s history in operation
This week the delivered 6 MW absorption heat pump from SOLID was successfully put in operation. At the beginning of the year, the heat pump started its long journey from the manufacturer’s factory in China over Hamburg to Tyrol.
SOLID became official member of the „Deutscher Bundesverband Solarwirtschaft“ on the 1st of January 2016
The German “Bundesverband Solarwirtschaft” represents the interests of about 1,000 solar companies. The organization aims to push the energy industry towards a renewable energy transition. SOLID is now part of the organization and benefits from its strong public presence.
District Heating Symposium in Austria demonstrates trend towards solar district heating
Participants of the district heating symposium in Velden, Carinthia, discussed heat input system solutions based on solar thermal plants. Solar thermal technologies were among the key solutions for pioneering district heating and cooling systems. Austrian companies are part of the avant-garde within the industry and had several presentations and booths at the symposium in Velden.
Leading position in an international Task on the integration of solar thermal energy into district heating networks
The Research and Development Department of SOLID has been participating in projects/tasks of the SHC (solar heating and cooling) program from the IEA (International Energy Agency) for years. In 2015, the head of R&D, Sabine Putz, submitted a new project on SDH/SDC to the IEA-SHC committee. In December 2015, the Executive Committee decided to approve the new Task 55, lead-managed by Sabine Putz and starting in July 2016.
