SOLID awarded with the ENERGY GLOBE STYRIA AWARD 2017 in the Category “GLOBAL PROJECTS”
A project from SOLID was one of the TOP 3 initiatives awarded at the Energy Globe Styria in the international category “earth”. The project is called “Solar thermal plant for climatizing Nicaragua’s biggest and most modern hospital – innovation through technology and financing”.

SOLID presented a concept for a solar thermal large scale plant supported by a 1,8m³ storage at the 11th International Conference (IRES 2017) hold together with the Energy Storage Europe (conference + expo). Out of 97 poster contributions, the poster from SOLID was awarded with the excellent 2nd place.
Solar Thermal District Heating: SOLID at the 2nd Expert Meeting of the IEA SHC Task 55 in Aalborg, Denmark
SOLID is the leading participant of SHC Task 55, the international platform focused on the integration of solar thermal systems into district heating and cooling networks. The 2nd Expert meeting took place in Denmark, and exceeded expectations by far: More than 30 specialists from 8 countries contributed to discussions and exchanged latest project results of the solar district heating and cooling industry.
SOLID@TedxGraz: Christian Holter talks about “GREEN OUR MAJOR ENERGY DEMAND NOW!”
SOLID became part of TEDx events for "ideas worth spreading." In his speech, Christian Holter emphasizes that getting out of fossil fuels by switching to renewable sustainable energies in combination with efficiency is the only way to go. Anybody is an energy consumer as of heat, transport, or electricity. To raise awareness is the key measure for reducing CO2 emissions and climate change. The full video is now available here.

IEA SHC Task 55 and R&D@SOLID – NEXT Meeting in March 2017 in Denmark
The Research and Development Department of SOLID is leading the international IEA SHC Task 55, which focuses on the integration of large scale solar thermal plants or whole energy system solutions into district heating and cooling networks. More than 20 international experts from around 10 countries contribute their Know-How. The next Task Meeting will take place in Aalborg, Denmark, from the 14th – 16th of March 2017.
